Schweizerischer internationaler Weiterbildungskurs in ChoreographieApplication Procedure for Choreographers
Application is reserved for choreographers with a degree in dance (or dance performance or choreography) and who have publicly presented more than one choreographic work (except school performances) for two or more dancers. Applicants should have several years of experience and decidedly professional ambitions. Age: preferably between 25 and 35.
Together with this application, candidates apply for a participants contribution of CHF 4'000 in their home country or at a corresponding institution. Otherwise SiWiC is free of cost for the selected choreographers (except traveling costs and personal expenses), including accommodation and a full meal daily.
Choreographers who are interested please apply with the Application Form for Choreographers. The completed form has to be sent by post (no e-mail) together with the necessary attachments by 10. February 2011 to:

Attachments: Together with the application form the following attachments are requested:
- Personal motivation letter
- Detailed C.V.
- 2 photos (portrait and dance photo)
- Videos or DVD‘s showing own choreographic works (minimum one entire work as well as clips from further works).
- List of all conceived works (title, music, number of dancers, duration, location and date of performances)
- Press reviews, awards
- two reference letters of personalities in dance.
- libretto or outline of a new creation (optional)
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. The receipt of the application will be confirmed by e-mail.
- The Association profession choreographie will inform the applicatns about the decisionof the jury by mail or phone end of March 2011.
- Note that candidates who were not selected can apply again for the following year (max. three times).

Application Procedure for Dancers
The SiWiC-Ensemble consists of approx. 20 - 22 dancers. They have to have a diploma or degree in dance and several years of performing experience in a group or theatre (no students, no beginners). Their ability to master various dance styles, a strong personality and creativity prerequisite. Their role is to support and accompany the selected choreographers.
As compensation for the participation the dancers receive an amount of CHF 1300. SiWiC helps zu find an accomodation and offers a full meal daily. Insurances have to be guaranteed by the participants.
- Previous Dancers: Please apply by phone or mail not later than 10. February 2011.
- New Dancers: please apply with the Application form for Dancers. The completed form has to be sent togehter wiht two recent photos (portrait and dance photo) by post (nor e-mail) not later than 10.
